Before getting solutions let's know about Router.

 What is Router ?

Router is an apparatus that divides data packets along networks. Generally a router is connected to at least two networks such as two LANs( Local Area Network) or WANs(Wide Area Network) or a LAN and it's ISP(Internet Service Provider) network. Router is considered as the gateways where two or more network are connected. Router is used for sharing data among networks

Why do we need Router?

Miss Malisa Grey wants to share her home internet connection among other members of her family. What will she do. She'll need a device named Router. This is quite inexpensive device used for sharing data or internet among multiple users. This is generally a device that connects between DSL(Digital Subscriber Line/Loop) or Cable Modem and all of the machine such as computer, laptop, Smartphone, HDTV and what not?

How does it work?

Now let's try to know how does a router work. In internet connections every devices connected to it needs a unique IP address. Suppose you have internet connection. So you have a unique IP address provided by your ISP(Internet Service Provider). This is the main IP address used for connecting internet. But you want to share your internet connection and data among other users locate at the same place. How it can be possible where every user need separate unique IP addresses? Here lies the implications. To do it reduce the internet costs. We need a device named router. Router takes the IP address provided by ISP and works like a gateway. Then it provides Local IP addresses for every users connected to the whole network located at a fixed place. That means a router generates local IP that is fully invisible in the internet. That's why this is somewhat secured. So we can say Router allows us access to internet from multiple devices. This has another advantage too. As this IPs are not visible to  the internet, any criminals or hackers can no way hack your IP. This gives your network another layer of protections.

How to know the default IP of a router?

Now let's come back to main discussion points. How will we know the default IP address of Router. In the following I have tried my best to give some probable solutions to these problems. The solution is......Try to know the default IP and then default User Name and Password. But how to know.......?

First Method: Connect all connections of Router with the computer. Then type Run........> CMD...........> press  Enter. Then type ipconfig and press Enter.

You will see 192.168.x.x Or 10.1.x.x beside Default Getway. This is the default IP address you want.

Second Method: Collect the following PDF file.

Download it from here
Now no problem with address but how to log in? You can do this in two ways. Firstly be informed of the default IP address and User name and Password. Othewise if it doesn't receive password/username hold the reset button with  a pin for a five to ten seconds situated at the back of the Router. You will see that Your Router is taking restart. Then try again.

Here some default IP addresses are given......
