Now the following window will appear before you. write your domain name that you selected from the GoDaddy .com See bellow:-
Now click on save button. Now an error message will appear before you. Don't worry. We will use the following message latter. Keep this tab open.
- Fully Qualified Domain Name: www
- Record Type: CNAME

Save the above information in a notepad. We will use the information in Godaddy.
1. Creating CNAME record on GoDaddy.com
Login your godaddy.com account. Open All product tab and from Domain sub-tab select Domain Management. It will reach you to the Domain Manager page.
Now Click on your desire domain name(Which you selected from earlier). A new page of domain managing will come.
In that page, scroll down and click on Launch link under DNS Manager section
Add a CNAME Record by clicking Quick Add button under CNAME section, with the detail below…

Check(give tick mark) on Redirect example.com to www.example.com and last of all click on Save again.
After completing all the process successfully, if you see “404 error”
while previewing your new added domain. Don’t worry; these changes may
take 1-48 hours to take effect.
Important Tips:
- If you are setting sub domain like www.mydomain.com instead of my
domain.com and if you want to point your nick domain i.e.mydomain.com to
your blog, you also have to add four A records to DNS settings of your
domain to these IP address as follows :
- 216.239.32.21
- 216.239.34.21
- 216.239.36.21
- 216.239.38.21
- If your new domain isn’t taking you to your blog, wait another day or two to make sure all the DNS servers have been updated. If it still isn’t working, contact your register to make sure you entered the DNS settings correctly.
- Your original Blogspot address will automatically forward to your new domain. That way, any existing links or bookmarks to your site will still work.
- You can see those address listed in that same page.
- Your posted images will also continue to display on your blog.
